School of Natural Sciences & Mathematics

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas, in a unique partnership with Pioneer Natural Resources, is offering a Pioneer Fellowship to especially well-qualified undergraduate students to engage in a summer research experience.

## About the Pioneer Fellowship

This research program is available to undergraduate juniors and seniors who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

• An 8-week summer program during which each selected student will work directly with a faculty member in The Department of Mathematical Sciences on an innovative research project. [Faculty Research Interests ]
• At the conclusion of the summer, each selected student will report their findings during a poster presentation that is open to the public.
• Program stipend covers travel funds up to $600.00, housing and a weekly food allowance. • The total stipend is valued at$5,000.00.
• In late January each year a committee comprised of faculty from the Math Department will review all the applications and three students will be selected for this special fellowship.
