2024 Pioneer Research Experience for Undergraduates
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas, in a unique partnership with Pioneer Natural Resources, is offering a Pioneer Fellowship to especially well-qualified undergraduate students to engage in a summer research experience.
About the Pioneer Fellowship
This research program is available to undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
- An 8-week summer program, from June 7 to August 2, during which each selected student will work directly with a faculty member in The Department of Mathematical Sciences on an innovative research project. [Faculty Research Interests ]
- At the conclusion of the summer, each selected student will report their findings during a poster presentation that is open to the public.
- Program stipend covers room and board at the UTD Residence halls.
- A $4,000.00 stipend for students who complete the program.
- A committee comprised of faculty from the Math Department will review all the applications and three students will be selected for this special fellowship.

- A cover letter explaining interest and unofficial transcripts should be sent to Viswanath.Ramakrishna@utdallas.edu.
- The deadline for application is May 10, 2024.
- Preference will be given to students who have not participated in REUs at UTD already.
